Brandy Pearce - Jeremy Pearce

Since January of 2010, Brandy and her husband, Jeremy, have been involved in volunteer education in Latin America. These adventures have lead to diverse new interests, such as learning new cooking methods high in the Andes mountains, living the culture in other countries, and even learning the art of motorcycle riding in the ever-changing roads of South America. And being volunteers, they have learned to do all of this on a budget. Her greatest joys come from helping people who really want to learn about the more important things in life, and she finds that her own life is enriched by learning from them too.

Her hobbies include writing of these adventures to family and friends, experiencing other cultures and making jewelry. Brandy is billingual, speaking both English and Spanish.

Brandy also has over 14 years of experience in the dental assisting profession. In 2006, she became a certified dental treatment coordinator, helping to explain involved dental procedures to clients and answering their questions in understandable terms. During her education in this field, she has won awards for both theoretical and practical studies, and is currently certified with the Ontario Dental Assistant's Association (ODAA).

As one of Suite 101's Feature Writers, it is Brandy's hope that her writing will inform her readers and enhance their day!
